The Chess Club Cafe is the place to be if you're looking for a place to get breakfast or lunch at an affordable price!
BLANCO, TEXAS- Oct. 20, 2022 - The Chess Club Cafe was originally a coffee shop but expanded into a cafe a couple of years ago. The owners of the Chess Club Cafe, Emily, and Steve Becker, were both working in the food and events industry when they decided they wanted to work on their own, which prompted the start of this local cafe in Blanco, Texas.
With a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options at affordable prices, the Chess Club Cafe is a must-try if you live in or are visiting Blanco, Texas. The Chess Club Cafe serves everything, from Tex-Mex style food, comfort foods like chicken-n-waffles, a delicious variety of hot and cold sandwiches, and way more.
The Becker's love expanding their menu with new and unique foods, and they mostly get inspired to try out new food pallets when traveling, a hobby they both really enjoy. Currently, they have several items on their breakfast menu inspired by their travels, including their Checkmate Sandwich and Queen's Choice Benedict, both inspired by a place they visited in Las Vegas.
Affordability is one of the three things the Beckers live by at the Chess Club Cafe, along with supplying great food and service. They want to ensure their food is delicious and affordable for their customers, with top-notch service, and they do the job right!
"I want our customers to leave knowing they had a great meal at a great value; that is what's important to us," says Emily.
The Eat Drink Local Texas team absolutely loved the Cantonese Chicken Stir-Fry, a dish made with seasonal vegetables and chicken, tossed with ginger soy sauce, and served with steamed rice. Along with their Blackened Salmon Salad, a north Atlantic salmon blackened & grilled on a bed of fresh greens with tomatoes, olives, red onions, a mix of cheeses and a boiled egg.
When you visit, we also recommend trying out their tasty loaded baked potato soup of the season. If you happen to stop by during November, try out their special sandwich, a seasonal fried thanksgiving sandwich made with three slices of bread, oven-roasted turkey, and dressing, served with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
Quality is also essential at the Chess Club Cafe, as they make many fresh ingredients daily, including pastries and dressings.
