BLANCO, TEXAS- Oct. 20, 2022 - Lonnie and Stephanie Dutton, owners of the Texas Cannon Brewing Company, have created the ultimate hang-out spot upon opening the brewpub in Blanco.
Air Force Veteran, Lonnie Dutton started home brewing six years ago and fell in love with the process. Soon after he opened Texas Cannon Brewing Company. Dutton enjoyed homebrewing so much he would host home parties to showcase the beers he'd made. That's when the Duttons realized it was time to start a brewery, hence, the start of the popular brewing company in Blanco. They now call themselves "professional homebrewers."
Dutton wanted to create his own business and wanted to ensure it was a space for his family to work together. Family is important to Dutton, with many of his relatives working at the brewery themselves.
Texas Cannon Brewing Company highlights Texan culture on a whole other level. Showcasing significant parts of Texas' past is something the brewery does right. Many of their beers are named after revolutionary periods in Texas; Dutton's favorite beer, the Six Founder IPA, was named after the Texas Revolution.
When walking into Texas Cannon Brewing Company, expect to have a great time in a very welcoming environment. To Stephanie Dutton, Texas is all about friends, which is exactly what the Texas Cannon Brewing Company owners want you to feel, welcomed and befriended by the local community.
"Texas means friends; that's the vibe, and that's how we want people to come and leave," says Stefanie.
When you visit, you may want to try their bestseller, the Texas Cannon Blonde, a favorite among many locals. If you're in the mood for something seasonal, opt for their current seasonal beer, the Oktoberfest, for a maltier taste. Or, try out Lonnie Dutton's favorite, the Six Founder IPA.
